The product itself works however for a one-time use it's expensive. It also isn't using natural ingredients so the same issues with itching and blotching arises as with other chemical-based beard colours.

Following the instructions, I added the Color to the Developer container. The quantity was enough for 3-4 usages. It didn't irritate my skin. However, I stopped using it, and I can't recommend it. The first time it covered 80% of the grey beard, which was acceptable. After that, the color got very weak, despite that the container was properly closed and saved. It covered only 20%, so I switched back to the old color brand :( Not what I expected.

I'm not an expert but I have the distinct impression all the complex details laid out for application are hoped to be camouflage for this very average, even below average product. In may case a good part of it had rinsed within a couple of days. i ended up re-applying m/touching up with some off-the-shelf touch-of-gray for men to cover that failing... the off-the-shelf color may be imperfect but in the end I am happier with the "wrong" brown than with gray. (Unit price for touch-of-gray is higher but it lasts longer & part of it can by re-used.

This brand is randomly charging me for orders which I haven’t consented to. The orders are random and I cannot find the location to cancel them. I ordered my second hair colour thinking that I was simply changing it from semi-permanent to permanet. To my surprise it's not! It's actually two shades lighter and somhow managed to make me look like...well like I coloured it with the wrong colour! I simply cannot go to the office like this and am not sure how to explain shaving my head at my age.

On receipt product was well packed and everything you could ask for, my only criticism would be that there was too much waste for my small goatie, ended up throwing at least 50+ percent in the bin

The product itself is brilliant. Applies easily, the colour is perfect, no skin irritation at all. But the lack of shipping options isn’t good. It’s been taking just over a month for me to receive an order. I would happily pay additional shipping for FedEx, UPS, etc., but that option isn’t available and customer service says there aren’t current plans to change that. If not for that, I’d score it a 6 out of 5, but if you’re ordering from outside the US, you may be seriously disappointed in the shipping time.

I have been using this for a couple of months now. Starting with the semi permanent which lasts about a week at most. Then I decided to go onto the permanent colour, which I would expect to last until I trim it, but that only lasts a couple of days before it turns yellow and then goes back to white. I would expect a permanent colour to remain a lot longer than that.

Was really excited to try but after 3 tries, giving up on this. The color doesn’t last long. Less than a week and it’s back to normal. It doesn’t give a sufficient grey coverage. I could see very little difference after application. Third, it only comes in 1 size which probably is good for a long beard but for a trimmed beard it probably is 3 times more than needed. So paying for a product that you end up throwing 2/3rd away after use doesn’t make any economic sense. The customer service was prompt but did not really address this concern. I could have tried it for some more time had they given an option to buy smaller quantity.

I'm very happy when I apply the colour but after about a week it fades and my hair has an orange tinge to it. I buy the anti yellowing shampoo and conditioner but it doesn't slow down the yellowing process.?

Seen there advert so many times, they advert there product as PPD FREE ! 101 % Very misleading, before I ordered i messages several times and asked if it was PPD FREE and they all said the same thing our product does not contain PPD, I advised them that I am 100 % allergic to PPD and have had a very bad reaction that left me with an infection, even though I told them they still went on with the order and sent me the product, the product arrived and on the ingredients none of them mention PPD, but still I did a allergy test just incase, and after that within 4 hours my skin raised and blistered badly, even now while I'm writing this review, very painful reaction seeping raised rash !! I complained to them and straight away they refunded me but its not about the refund, this could be very bad fatal for some, PPD REACTION is no joke it can leave people with scars for life or even can kill them or send them to hospital for emergency treatment, they need to be honest with things like this and not lie, I hope this helps people so they know, any 1 who is allergic to hair dye PPD IS A NO NO do not buy this product please. The product came well presented and I liked the personalised approach of having my name on the item. I followed all the instructions on the package, however when I tested the product it left me with itchy and sore skin for days. 😕

After receiving the box, I put it aside to use later. 2 days later I picked up the box and noticed it felt sticky. Color leaked out of the bottle, and through the box. I was lucky that it was sitting on something where a stain wouldn’t show. Didn’t use, and not interested in using something that is so poorly packed.

After a couple weeks the color fades and a brash orange appears. After several attempts to correct, including adjustments to shampoo and conditioning, the problem persists. The application directions do not mention doing a skin test prior to applying, I strongly recommend doing so. I had an allergic reaction after applying a drop on my inner arm and developed a raised, itchy and red skin reaction. This product contains PPD. If you're not allergic to PPD or other chemicals then this may work for you but those allergic to PPD this product is a definite no.

This product did not provide enough grey coverage. I was told that I would be sent a replacement which would take the grey out of my hair and beard. I have not received this and I have been left very disappointed.

Was a beautiful brunette right after dying, two days later it was already starting to fade and now it’s mostly red tinted. I know my gray is difficult to color but a dye should last a little longer than a few days.

I had high hopes for this product. It did a decent job on my hair but not on my beard. Also the automatic billing charged my credit card on the weekend while customer service was closed so now I'm getting the exact same thing that DIDN'T WORK delivered again. Not happy.

The first application was slightly disappointing, so I asked for an adjustment with very clear language. The adjustment was exactly what I asked not to get. I decided to give them a third chance, and requested they send me the original formula. What I got was just as bad as the second application. It's way too expensive to get such horrible results. The "colorist" either didn't read what I'd requested or just didn't care. I can just as easily buy off the shelf and get better results for about a quarter of the price.

I can’t say how disappointed I was with my order. The colour was an awful match, nothing like my hair colour at all. You also have to use all of the product in one go, I didn’t need half of it, very wasteful. Hope it washes out soon so I can get something closer to my hair colour.

Well, I am still using Colorsmith for my beard, but my complaints are that it is blotchy in the way it colors, and it doesn’t seem to last more than a few days in my beard. Haven’t found anything better, as Just for Men is so caustic to my skin and causes rashes.

I got it for my beard and it comes in larger size. Being a short beard it means I need to colour it a couple of times a week given the growth and how the roots shows quickly which means that this product is simply way too expensive.

I don't think this does anything different to what I purchase from Boots. It takes twice as long as doesn't cover the whole hair with grey area. It's also more expensive

hello, my custom hair color was formulated again with me to take out the golden so I could have better gray coverage; however, unfortunately the grays were not covered at all. Would need to go back to a salon to get the grays covered.

Easy product to use with good instructions and I was happy with the end result. Unfortunately the colour has faded quickly and I've had to use another product to reduce the greys. I do wash my beard and hair daily.

I like the results but if you have short hair like I do then you could end up throwing half of it away which makes it less value for money. There's enough for two applications in the package I receive so I've ended up storing half in glass jars It would be a good idea to offer a smaller size (perhaps x2) to people with close cropped hair so we can apply weekly
