Before I began losing color in my beard my hair was dark brown in color. My beard is salt and pepper, with more salt than pepper. While I was waiting for the 15 min for the dye to work it looked almost black and I was getting scared that the color would not look correct, but once I rinsed out the dye my beard looked great. I'm not going to lie, at first I thought my hair looked too dark, but I realized that I was so used to seeing a mostly gray beard that the initial shock of seeing color was what threw me off. The next day when I woke up I actually loved how my color came out. I still had some gray hairs throughout my beard and that's what I actually wanted. Next time I'm going to use less dye so I can actually have more grays in my beard. Most women love that salt and pepper look.

very nice product but there was much waste.I only used about 1/4 of the bottle and had to throw the rest away.give less charge.less

The application and instructions were super easy, but the color is much darker than expected. It says dark blonde, but my color turned out to be a brownish/red (I have red in my hair as well).
I have been coloring my hair almost 40 years and this is the most stupid product followed by the most stupid ploy to send you one every month even though you think you only ordering a sample but oh no they will get you then follow by them sending my stuff to probably different address since I have not been getting it in month, and had to call and cancel but kept getting bill for it and now had to on in and cancel. stay away from this product anything else out there is better than this
Wasnt aware the auto subscription will be activated after the initial sample order so was disappointed when charged for second time. Also the colour wasnt accurate, as i asked for darkest brown but the result was darkest grey instead. In order to return, the couriers wont collect without returns lebels, so couldnt return the second item.

I’m pleased with the head hair colour but the beard colour is not sufficient - as I trim my beard weekly as I keep it short - the colour is lost after about a week or 2 - there should be a kit to allow regular touch ups

I would give it minus 5 stars if I could. Ordered dark Blond, followed the directions to the letter my hair turned out an orangey dark dark brown and it looks ridiculous, utterly useless product, I've had far better results with just for men.

I stated when I purchased this item, the one in the shops just for men after over 10 years of using it now burns my face, I received my order and did the skin test on my chest area just below my neck, I had no reaction to it what so ever. Two days later I decided too apply the beard dye, after 10 minutes it was stinging and I decided to wash it off, I'm so glad I did and not leave it for the full 20 minutes, Within an hour I had clear bubbles of liquid appearing under my beard, over the night they started going red and turned to scabbs, The itching is uncomfortable, my Doctor said its chemical burns from the beard dye, which I already knew 🤦♂️ He said shave off your beard if it helps and use a moisturising cream 😭 I haven't shaved my beard, I've just sucked it up and pushed through the uncomfortable pain. On the mend now thankfully. It shouldn't have happened I clearly stated I've had a reaction before in my notes, as far as I'm concerned the formula is ment to be adjusted to prevent this from happening. All I can say is be very careful it's dangerous 😳

I have used this twice now and both times it has not covered the 20 - 30% of grey hair I have on me beard. Really disappointed after following instructions and leaving it on for the correct time. I liked the fact that it hasn't got the dangerous chemicals in it but the product doesn't work! I would have quite happily posted a photo but there is no option for it.

The result is what matters TERIBLE. Just to place an order I had to call because I had red highlights, a known issue with the portal. Then i informed them of my hard to cover gray beard ... Use the product as "specifically mine" that left the greys grey by sending the standard package. To much efforts for substandard product and colorist that don't listen

I cancelled / turned off my subscription but received an order from 1/8/2024 and was billed for it. The first kit I received was great the second turned my hair a bright orange, I had to go to a Salon to have my hair fixed. I followed the directions on the kit and noticed that the time on the second kit was longer. I reached out to the Color Smith team about 2 weeks ago, I haven't heard back from them. I purchased the grooming lotion; I really like the product.

Big claims. Didn't cover a single grey on the beard. Hair very standard basic results. Certainly no better than other products. I am actually being kind, I don't think the coverage on the hair was good enough at all. I will give It one more try

I ordered and received two deliveries two consecutive months in a row. The color was horrific, and it wasn't one but many colors in my hair. I spoke with a hair specialist who sent me a unique new color that was as bad or worse than the first two. For three months I have been walking around with my greys showing, and various colors in my hair. I do not recommend this company. Additoinally to date they are not crediting me for this inferior product in total.

This product burn and itched my face the entire nice when I applied this on my beard. I have had to seek medical attention and now purchasing a steroid cream help me with the pain. I'm very disappointed with this product as I suspect it has PPD.. my skin is sentative and this seemed to be a good product but its actually the worst and wouosnt buy ever again

Very expensive for what amounts to single use application. Only need a third of the amount provided for beard coverage but once it’s used once it’s all useless. Very wasteful. Also grey coverage was very poor compared to cheaper, multi use alternatives.

After adjusting colour, to a lighter shade, it was still too dark , almost like black, I must say good coverage but I have to be honest, it did look artificial.

Coloring works quickly, easily and reliably. Especially the ash tone is well chosen. This is exactly what makes the difference to conventional mixtures that you get in the supermarket. I liked the extra toiletries. They have thought of everything to get started right away. From gloves to a really useful comb plus shampoo and a nice conditioner. I'm not sure if the color was actually custom made based on the photos I had sent in. The color mix was a bit too dark for my liking. You could tell right away that I had dyed my hair – which was definitely not what I had planned. However, after a few days and after having washed my hair several times, it got better. Now don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that the tint has gotten lighter. The result itself did not wear off quickly. After two weeks, however, my gray hair became clearly visible again and a touch-up was necessary. Since I am wearing a stubble beard, I color it at least twice a week. If I don’t it will look white immediately. And: Yes coloring it works without looking wrong. Just make sure to wash the product off after like 5 to 8 minutes. If you leave it on for too long, it will look like you painted your face indeed! So what I'm looking for is a coloring option that I can mix individually in smaller amounts at shorter intervals. I want to color my hair every two weeks and my beard as needed. However, this does not work with the Coloursmith product. I'm forced to mix all the ingredients at once and discard the remaining product. Using it to recolor my beard is not recommended. A real shame. Plus: I'm willing to pay for a great result, but it just seems to get too expensive.

We don't have it just right yet. It is to dark and it turns red after a week. Just before I colored his hair last week he looked into the mirror and said "I'm a red head". Not good. I talked to the colorist and she said next time they would use a 10 volume instead of a 15 volume. She was sending me something to counter act the red.

Product is good, but again the same issue with other products in market. Colour stick on skin after colouring the hair even though applied the colour remover. Shipping is expensive and in my opinion hair colour products is also expensive compared to other in market.

UPDATE 2: I have received four shipments of hair color from Colorsmitth, and each time the shade has been different from the previous. While I do not hate the product, I find it challenging to predict the outcome of each application. However, I continue to use it because it fades nicely and blends with the natural color of my new hair growth, avoiding a harsh line of dyed hair and gray hair. Moreover, the application process is effortless, and the clean-up is quick. To reduce the noticeable color change, I apply the product before each haircut. UPDATE: After 2 days the color has faded to an odd dark green/ orange. I was able to tone the color with a purple toner for bleached hair but the color is still nowhere near the color I should have received. ORIGINAL REVEIW: Not sure how this happened but the color was way too dark. I should have had dark ash blond but my color was more Espresso!!! That IS NOT dark ash blond. Also, somehow the color, though too dark, still did not cover my gray. Currently I WOULD NOT recommend Colorsmith to anyone.

I didn't like mix is one time use and throw away solution. I have short hair, I would like to use mix for multiple times in a month. Each order cost me $30 which is expensive

Did not work, and months later still no reply from anyone when they said they will offer me a darker shade for free to see if it works

The colour looks very natural but if you have too many grey all of them are not covered. About 70-80 percent of the grey are covered. And you could not re-use the color once mixed. Could be helpful if small extra color is sent along with kit so that one could top up the left grey hair.

First time using after 7 yrs with other products my wife has stated this is the most natural looking colour I’ve used so I’m happy overall just disappointed it’s so expensive. 4 days later and the colour is going out of my hair quickly with greys coming through strong, which is shocking and would not happen with cheaper products I use. I’ve sent my feedback and either they need to do more product development or it just doesn’t last long and would not be a loyal customer.

I was frustrated that it took longer to arrive than, anticipated because of the reviews, I still had high hopes that at least maybe the product would be good. Overall I am disappointed and it didn't cover any better than the literal 3.00 Color-silk by Revlon (that Good housekeeping had said was the best for grey coverage as a side-note). But I will say that it came nicely packaged, includes two pairs of nice quality gloves, stain-guard, and remover (which is a HUGE bonus and impressed me!) comb, shampoo and conditioner. The smell was about the same as others I have used so neither good nor bad for me. I do like it can be used for facial hair too (that was a drawing feature for me). However, despite the quality look/packaging of the product and the nice accessories included, the most important feature for me would be coverage and that from me is a 3/10 on the facial hair (I had strands that were still totally white) and maybe a 4/10 for the hair, the color looks nice and natural BUT the greys didn't cover very well and certainly not well enough to pay so much more than whatever you can pick up at your local drug-store or big-box retailer. Maybe you will have better luck than I did, but I won't be purchasing again :( Also for the record, I followed the directions to the letter and still had disappointing results....

Same as all other products, it doesn't work in all the hair and beard, waste of money.

I am certainly not satisfied with the strength of the color. The grays are still gray, and unfortunately the whole package is a one time use only. Waste of money.

The gray in my beard turned bluish-purple and my hair turned light brown when I requested darkest brown. This is the worst hair color I've ever used. I had to shave my beard and recolor my hair with a different brand that actually works.

I waste more than I use. I only dye my goatee and I am bald so there should be a way to mix in smaller amounts.
